Store Manager – Colchester (Footwear)

UK’s leading Footcare / Footwear brand is currently seeking a Store Manager to join their business and play a lead role in the ongoing success of their store in Colchester.
Established in 2006 with 80 sites nationwide offering a unique service and products that make them standout from the rest. Seeking a skilled and experienced Store Manager who can be a strong decision maker whilst have the ability to ensure the customer service received from the store is second to none.

Salary: £18,000 – £20,000 per annum, inc benefits, OTE

Roles and Responsibilities
– As a Store Manager you will manage and motivate your team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
– Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
– Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes as well as analysing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning and forecasting
– As the Store Manager you will be dealing with staffing issues: recruitment; conducting appraisals and performance reviews; and providing or organising training and development
– Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
– Promoting the organisation locally by liaising with local schools, newspapers and the community in general
– Organising special promotions, displays and events
– Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
– As Store Manager you will be maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring what local competitors are doing
– As Store Manager you will initiating changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market
